ZOMG almost done!!
my new site is almost done!
it should be open to the public sometime early next week. it's looking really good and just needs a couple more tweeks and a bit more content uploaded.

posts will be brief this week
Hi Everyone,
I'm currently about halfway through setting up my new blog. There will be vast improvements to the content as well as layout in the new blog and I'm really excited about how it's coming along so far.
Here are some of the features you can expect to see in the new layout:
- MUCH FASTER DOWNLOAD SPEEDS FOR TRACKS AND MIXTAPES!! (no need to access shifty fileshare sites)
- Better RSS integration
- Integration with Digg, del.icio.us, and other social bookmarking
- Cool new layout using Wordpress
- Dedicated pages for Music Downloads, Pics Galleries and more!
While I'm working 'round the clock to get this up and running, I won't be posting much new content on this site. Keep checking back for updates on the new site over the next week or two. Also, please direct your browsers to the new web address at http://www.kinkmusic.net as this current address will soon be deprecated.

www.kinkmusic.net is open!
i have just finished setting up my new dedicated server. this means quick and easy downloads of all my new tracks and mixtapes, as well as a dedicated domain at www.kinkmusic.net (right now it just redirects back to this blog though...)
i have updated the links to my new mixtape YOOR DOENG IT RONG so that they direct you to the new server. so for those of you who were having trouble downloading the mix from rapidshare you should have no problems now!
bear with me over the next couple of days as i continue to upload content to the server. once all my music is up and linked i'll post again.

unfortunately this download service is incredibly frustrating and slow. i would normally use Zshare but their service appears to be down at the moment. i can assure you that it will download if you follow the instructions and don't click the same thing more than once. you shouldn't have to register or anything like that.
THE GOOD NEWS:
i've decided to register a domain and purchase commercial-grade hosting space as early as this weekend. at that point i will make the mix available directly from my ftp in both 192k and 320k varieties, as well as all of my self-produced tracks and mixtapes.
so if you're having issues downloading just hang in there. it should be less than a week before everything is available on a nice fast pipeline.

light on content
today's post is officially light on content.
i could probably pimp it out with more tantalizing hints that my new mix is going to be released this week (it's actually getting released tomorrow, FYI). i could pad today's content with complaints about the winter weather (i AM getting pretty tired of the snow). i could even post the latest developments in the pending site overhaul (incidentally, is anyone familiar with the WordPress platform or CSS in general?).
i'm not going to write about any of that stuff.
why? because i respect your intelligence. i know that you, the discerning reader, have a busy schedule. you have places to go and blogs to read and very little time to do it in. it would be irresponsible of me to monopolize any of that precious time when i have nothing new to report.
so, no post today. sorry if i've dissapointed you...

working on some big new stuffs
hey hey hey,
my new mix is *almost* ready for release. truth be told, it's done and sitting on my ipod as we speak but i don't like to release things until they have survived a few days on my ipod without generating a compulsive urge for me to continue tweaking. so far so good though, so you should see that mix up in the next couple of days. just need to create some artwork for your lovely 'cover flow' (i know how annoying it is when tunes don't come with artwork... it's like "DOOD WTF? MY ITUNES R LOOK LIEK BALLZ LOL") yeah, generic gray music note FTL :(
also, yet another super awesome and cool announcement. there are major site overhauls in the works for this kinkmusic site including:
1) a completely new layout and look (i'm actually looking to switch to a totally different blogging platform altogether)
2) dedicated pages for music downloads, videos, bio, pics, etc
3) lots more visual content!
4) support for social bookmarking (del.icio.us, digg, StumbleUpon, et al) built right into each post.
5) a non-generic domain name (hooray!)
so yeah, i have no idea as to a time-line for this transformation just yet. i want to release the new site all at once, not piece by piece, so you can bet it will be at least a month before it's all ready to go. also, i want to make sure that it is as future-compatible as possible. when i set up the current Blogger-based site i did a minimal amount of research into my options (i basically picked the most user friendly free blogging platform i found readily available). this time i want to make sure that the site has plenty of room for upgrading and customization so there is lots of direction to grow in.
certainly some super amazing stuff coming down the pipeline... i know i'm excited.
