so, my work was closed on friday due to the snow. i ended up spending most of the day chilling out and cleaning the flat. mark dropped by for a bit and we hung out and played jet set radio future. as i wrote previously, my new synth came on friday but i didn't have a ton of time to try it out.
saturday carole and i woke up early and got some stuff done around the house, then we headed over to our friend's place to look after her children aged 1 and 3 while she went out of town overnight. it was a lot of fun. we made a snowman in the yard and in the evening took the street car over to pizza pizza and had dinner. the kids really loved the street car and it was awesome to see their reactions to things as we passed them by.
we got back at around mid day on sunday. i spent most of the day finishing up my mix for the new Gobs the Zombie track we've been working on. the test mix is finished just pending any changes that Gobs wants and it should be totally finished and ready for mastering by the end of the week! i'm going to get started on my remix of that track within the next few days and it will likely take full advantage of the Variphrase enhanced sampler and 303 emulation features on the VariOS!
