the married life...

carole and i are now married. we got hitched in a civil ceremony on thursday with just a small group of family and friends as witness (the chambers at city hall only seat about 10 people). it was a beautiful service and a great day for everyone.

unfortunately, when we got back from our one night honeymoon down at the harborfront we discovered that the air conditioning in our apartment is not functioning. my theory is that they turned it off for the winter at the beginning of september and are keeping it off despite the recent heat wave. whatever the reason, it's very irritating and i'm going to speak to the super tonight about it. i'm getting a bit pissed off about this apartment. we purposely chose this building because it was a step above a lot of the others in the neighbourhood. part of that was the promise of a newly renovated balcony which was supposed to be completed a few weeks after we got there. it took them almost 3 months to finish that project up. now the air conditioning is not working in the midst of the hottest september i can remember. i'm feeling like i should be getting some money off our rent since they really haven't been entirely satisfying the conditions of the rent contract...
