so, this weekend's gig went well. everyone seemed to have a really positive response to the visuals and for the most part it all went very smoothly. i should have some pics and a recording up here shortly, although carole and i have been talking about setting up a separate blog specifically for the amorphous menace project.
in other news, my copy of Leopard arrived at exactly 6pm on friday afternoon. This is, as far as I can tell, the global release time for the OS (at least that's what it said at the apple store on friday). i'm wondering whether their contract with purolator specified that everyone receive their preorders at exactly that time or what the deal is. at any rate, i've yet to install it as my laptop was occupied for the entire weekend. i'm hoping to have all the file clutter on the laptop sorted out and backed up by tonight so i can install my long awaited OS update and get my computer back to optimum efficiency... is it terribly geeky for me to be excited about an operating system upgrade? it probably is, but you know what? i am not ashamed to admit that mac OS makes me happy in the pants.
in other other news, my copy of the first two episodes of looking for group arrived in the post on friday as well. i glanced through them over the weekend and i can't wait to read them properly. that's probably what i'm going to be doing while reinstalling my computer tonight. plus heroes is on. tonight is shaping up to be a good night for sure.
