last night i cleaned out my computer, repartitioned the hard drive into one volume and did a fresh install of leopard. it runs a lot smoother at the moment (with no programs on there) which is a good start. tonight is going to be taken up with installing all my software again. i'm sure the process will be time-consuming but rewarding. i've got some ideas of how to reorganize things differently than the last time i set my computer up (which was when i first got it over 2 years ago). i know it's just an operating system but with the amount that i use my computer it feels good, like a fresh start.
this weekend i'm helping with moving my brother into the apartment building down the street from us. apart from that i'm taking it easy, reconnecting everything in my studio and possibly getting to work on some music for the first time in over a month. i can't wait for the opportunity to take a whole day to work on stuff and i'm really striving to get everything else on my "to do" list out of the way before the weekend so i can have at least a day to relax.
